Solans Ormo Earns All-North Region First Team Honors

LOS ANGELES – Sergi Solans Ormo has been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-North Region first team, it was announced on Tuesday morning. Solans Ormo, a redshirt sophomore forward from Lleida, Spain, is one of three underclassmen to earn All-North Region first team honors.
Solans Ormo had a breakout year for the Bruins in 2025, starting and playing in all 19 games, and leading the team in goals (16) and points (38). For his efforts, Solans Ormo was named first-team All-Big Ten and the Big Ten Tournament's most outstanding player after recording four goals and two assists in the tournament. Solans Ormo also scored a hat trick in the final of the Big Ten Tournament, becoming the first player in Big Ten Tournament history to record a hat trick in the final.
The redshirt sophomore finished the year with 16 goals and six assists on the year, scored a program record three hat tricks in a single season, and finished the year with a goals per 90 minutes ratio of 0.84, which is tied for fifth nationally.
Solans Ormo is amongst the top five in the country in multiple categories. His 16 goals put him tied for third nationally in total goals scored, he ranks tied for fourth in points per game at 2.00, and his total point tally of 38 puts him at fifth in the country in total points. Solans Ormo is also sixth in the country in game-winning goals with five on the year.
For the year, Solans Ormo recorded three hat tricks, five game-winning goals, and scored 12 goals in his final six matches. He tallied 1,557 minutes of action in 2025, the third most on the team, and played at least 80 minutes in 11 of his 19 appearances.
By being named first team All-Region, Solans Ormo is eligible for All-American honors, which will be announced on Friday, December 12.
