BATON ROUGE, La.ย -- No. 1 UCLA (22-2) fell to No. 2 TCU (15-3), 3-0, on Saturday to conclude a rain-shortened event at LSU Beach Volleyball Stadium. The Bruins fell to 6-3 overall in the series against the Horned Frogs.
Deniela Konstantinova and Olivia Cline put the first point on the board for TCU on court five with a 21-15, 22-20 win over Harper Cooper and Jessie Smith.
TCU would take a 2-0 lead after Allanis Navas and Sofia Izuzquiza defeated UCLA's Ensley Alden and Kenzie Brower on court three, 23-21, 21-8.
The Horned Frogs would get the clincher on court two as Maria Gonzalez and Stacy Reeves defeated Peri Brennan and Natalie Myszkowski in two tight sets, 21-18, 22-20.
UP NEXT: The Bruins head to Laguna Beach, Calif., to compete in the Best in the West tournamentย (April 4-5). UCLA will open against No. 6 Cal Poly at 1:00 p.m. PT on Main Beach.
