Clements Named CSC Third Team Academic All-American

Graduate outfielder Jessica Clements on the UCLA softball team was named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Third Team Academic All-American Tuesday morning. This marks the first Academic All-America recognition in her four-year collegiate career.

Clements completed her master's degree in UCLA's John Wooden's Transformative Coaching and Leadership program (education major) with a 4.00 GPA in 2025. She earned her bachelor's degree in agricultural business from the California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly) with a 3.58 cumulative GPA in 2024 prior to transferring.

This marks the fifth straight season UCLA softball has had a student-athlete named an a CSC Academic All-American.

Clements, from Salinas, Calif. was one of the most valuable transfer additions in the country in 2025. Clements was selected NFCA All-West Region for the fourth time in her career, making the second team. Clements hit in the Bruins' leadoff spot in 65 of 68 games and played all of her 67 contests in center field. She finished the season with a .372 batting average (83-for-223), 71 runs scored, 18 doubles, six home runs and 44 runs batted in. Clements enjoyed a stellar postseason, hitting three of her six home runs on the year in NCAA Regionals and at the Women's College World Series. In her first game at the WCWS, Clements hit a walk-off two-run homer against Oregon to advance UCLA in the winner's bracket. She finished the NCAA Tournament with a .441 batting average (15-for-34) and a team-high 10 runs scored and four doubles.
