UCLA Well-Represented at NBA Summer League in Las Vegas

Seven former UCLA men's basketball players have been named to rosters for this year's NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, scheduled to run from July 10-20.

Amari Bailey (Minnesota), Jules Bernard (Golden State), Adem Bona (Philadelphia), Moses Brown (Houston), Jaylen Clark (Minnesota), Kobe Johnson (Atlanta) and Lazar Stefanovic (Orlando) are all currently listed on rosters for the NBA Summer League.

Four of the former UCLA players could be in action as early as Thursday, while the other three players (Jules Bernard, Moses Brown and Kobe Johnson) will not be taking the court until as early as Friday. Thursday's schedule in Las Vegas includes seven games lined up between two basketball facilities โ the Thomas & Mack Center at UNLV and the adjacent Cox Pavilion.

Both Johnson and Stefanovic starred on UCLA's team in 2024-25. Johnson was named a Big Ten All-Defensive Team selection, having finished the season sixth in the league in steals per game (1.6). Johnson started all 34 games for the Bruins (averaging 7.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game), while Stefanovic played in all 34 contests (averaging 4.7 points and 1.9 rebounds per game).

Bailey, Bernard, Bona, Brown and Clark are all making return visits to the NBA Summer League. Brown and Bernard are the most veteran of the group, having both enrolled at UCLA in the summer of 2018. Clark joined UCLA's program as a freshman in the fall of 2020, while Bailey and Bona were part of the same recruiting class in 2022.

Bona, Brown and Clark all saw action in the NBA during the 2024-25 season. Bailey and Bernard played in the NBA in 2023-24 and competed in the NBA G League last season.

Bona, a second-round NBA Draft selection in 2024, led the group of upcoming NBA Summer League participants by playing in 58 games last season with the Philadelphia 76ers. Bona averaged 5.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, shooting 70.3 percent from the field.

Most recently, Bona and Bernard played in early NBA Summer League games last week โ Bona with the 76ers at the Salt Lake City Summer League, and Bernard with the Warriors at the California Classic Summer League.
