The UCLA football team welcomes San Diego State to the Rose Bowl for its first home game of the Bob Chesney era this Saturday at 4:15 p.m. PT. Tickets to the game can be purchased online HERE.
The game will be televised on Big Ten Network with broadcasters Wayne Randazzo (play-by-play), UCLA football great Brett Hundley (analyst) and Emma Carpenter (sideline) on the call. Fans can listen live on the UCLA Audio Network or KABC-AM 790 to longtime play-by-play announcer Josh Lewin and former UCLA quarterbacks Matt Stevens (analyst) and Wayne Cook (sideline) on the call.
Parking
Parking lots for UCLA vs. San Diego State will open at 10:15 a.m. Parking is sold by the City of Pasadena for $38 per car in advance and $43 on gameday and can be purchased HERE. Fans are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and pre-purchase parking online for a $5 discount off on-site pricing. RV parking is located on West Drive. No overnight RV parking is available.
Gameday parking is also available at the Parsons complex parking lot in Pasadena. Access to the lot is at 100 W. Walnut St., off Fair Oaks Avenue. The free shuttle runs continuously beginning three hours before kickoff until one hour following the conclusion of the game. Parking in the Parsons lot can be purchased on-site on gameday for a maximum of $24.
Area H Fan Zone
The Rose Bowl offers one of the best tailgating experiences in college football. The Area H Fan Zone is open to all fans from noon to 4:15 p.m. and is located in Lot H, just outside Gates A and B. The Fan Zone includes a wide variety of gameday experiences, such as tailgating parties, food vendors, activities, exhibits, beer gardens, musical performances and more.

Bruin Walk
UCLA football has reimagined the Bruin Walk at the Rose Bowl, bringing Bruin fans closer to head coach Bob Chesney and the team as they arrive before each home game. Fans are encouraged to gather along N. Arroyo Blvd. outside Gate A and line the Bruin Walk route as the Bruins make their way into the stadium. For Saturday’s home opener vs. San Diego State, the Bruins will arrive at 1:35 p.m. The UCLA Marching Band will also perform at Bruin Walk.
Stadium Gates
Gates A and F at the Rose Bowl open to premium seat holders in the Pavilion and The Field Club at 2:15 p.m. Gates open to the general public shortly after at 2:45 p.m.
Giveaways
Wooden Athletic Fund donors can pick up their women’s basketball-themed Josie Bruin bobblehead with their voucher near Tunnel 28.
Season-ticket members can pick up their collector’s pin with their voucher near Tunnel 23.
Fans will receive a commemorative rally towel for head coach Bob Chesney’s inaugural UCLA home game at all entrance gates while supplies last.
2026 UCLA Football posters will be distributed to fans upon egress from the Rose Bowl.
Entertainment
Pregame
The “I’m Going to College” Higher Education Fair will open at 1 p.m. in the Area H Fan Zone. At the college fair, students of all ages can speak with academic counselors and pick up educational information about preparing for college. Other activities include carnival games, activity books, music, giveaway items, face painting and more. The event will close at 3 p.m.
Saturday will be “LA Day” at the Rose Bowl, and to celebrate our amazing city, several Los Angeles-area professional team mascots and entertainment groups will be on-site at the Court of Champions from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. PT. Franchises attending the UCLA game include the Los Angeles Dodgers, Rams, Lakers, Clippers, Galaxy and Anaheim Ducks.
The UCLA Alumni Band, celebrating its 51st year, will also perform in the Court of Champions at 3:30 p.m.
Before kickoff at 4 p.m., UCLA will remember the lives lost on the 25th anniversary of 9/11. The remembrance ceremony will feature a moment of silence and a United States flag held by Southern California first responders. The national anthem will be sung by U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Alycia Cancel. UCLA will also recognize Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police officer Raymond DeVito, who was present at ground zero on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001.
In-Game
Fans will be treated to dance performances from the Laker Girls during the first quarter break and the UCLA Dance Team during the second quarter.
The winner of the Extra Yard for Teachers Award will be presented during the third quarter as part of the College Football Playoff Foundation's Extra Yard for Teachers Week, which is a celebration from Sept. 12-19 that honors and recognizes great teachers. Read more HERE.
Honorary Captain
Marcedes Lewis, one of the greatest tight ends in UCLA history, will be recognized during the first timeout of the first quarter as honorary captain for the Bruins’ game vs. San Diego State. Lewis holds UCLA tight end career records for receiving yards (1,571) and receptions (126) and ranks second all-time, regardless of position, in receiving touchdowns (21). As a senior in 2005, Lewis was a consensus All-American and won the Mackey Award, given annually to the most outstanding tight end in college football.
Lewis was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the No. 28 overall pick in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft. A 20-year NFL veteran, Lewis earned a Pro Bowl selection in 2011.
