No. 3 Bruins Continue Road Trip at Minnesota Wednesday

MINNEAPOLIS – No. 3-ranked UCLA (15-1, 5-0 B1G) finishes the second half of its northern road trip at Minnesota (12-4, 3-2 B1G) on Wednesday night.
 
The Bruins and Golden Gophers tip off inside Williams Arena at 5 p.m. PT; the game will be broadcast to B1G+.

MATCHUP HISTORY: vs. Minnesota Golden Gophers
• UCLA leads the all-time series 3-1 and is 1-0 against Minnesota in B1G conference games.
• The Bruins hosted the Golden Gophers in Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom Financial on Feb. 2 last season, handing Minnesota a 26-point defeat behind a 14-point outing by Kiki Rice (6-8 FG). Lauren Betts had a career-high 11 assists in the win (W, 79-53).

• The Bruins earned their second-consecutive ranked win in conference  play with the 22-point victory at Nebraska Sunday.
• Senior Lauren Betts collected 18 points and 10 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the year; the reigning defensive player of the year had four blocks and five steals in the victory, becoming the only NCAA D1 women's basketball player taller than 6-foot-4 to achieve those defensive numbers in a game this season.
• The Bruins had six players in double figures: L. Betts (18), G. Kneepkens (16), C. Leger-Walker (14 PTS, 4-5 3FG), S. Betts (12), K. Rice (12) and G. Jaquez (11).
• UCLA won the battle on the boards, outrebounding the Cornhuskers 43-28 in the win. Sienna Betts finished with five offensive rebounds to Nebraska's seven.
 
WHAT'S BRUIN
• UCLA opened the 2025-26 season ranked No. 3 in the Associated Press Top 25 Women's Basketball Poll, released Oct. 14. The Bruins had a number of top 15 matchups in November: No. 6 Oklahoma (Nov. 10), No. 11 North Carolina (Nov. 13), No. 4 Texas (Nov. 26) and No. 14 Tennessee (Nov. 30), finishing November 3-1 against ranked opponents.
• The Bruins began the year with six of their first eight games being played at neutral site locations. UCLA made the trip to Las Vegas twice in three weeks, first for the WBCA Challenge (Nov. 13-15) and second for the Players Era Women's Championship (Nov. 26-27). The Bruins went 3-1 in Sin City this November.
• The Big Ten boasts eight programs in the AP Top 25 for the week 10 poll: No. 3 UCLA, No. 8 Michigan, No. 11 Iowa, No. 12 Maryland, No. 14 Ohio State, No. 15 Michigan State, No. 24 Nebraska and No. 25 Illinois. Washington, USC, and Oregon received votes.
• UCLA won 23-straight games in 2024-25 - 22 were by a double-digit margin - setting the longest streak for both records in program history. UCLA's previous-best win streak came in the 1977-78 championship campaign (21 games).
• The Bruins boast 7 McDonald's All Americans on the roster: Lauren Betts, Sienna Betts, Angela Dugalić, Timea Gardiner, Gabriela Jaquez, Amanda Muse, and Kiki Rice. Jaquez and Rice shared co-MVP honors in the all-star game.
• UCLA was recognized as the USBWA National Team of the Week after going 3-0 from Nov. 10-15, which included victories over No. 6 Oklahoma and No. 11 North Carolina.
• UCLA has four players averaging double figures; the Bruin starting five totals 68.6 points per game. Six UCLA players have scored 20+ points in a game this season; the Bruins have had multiple 20+ point scorers in four games so far.
• The Bruins lead the Big Ten in FG% (.508), rebounds (44.2 RPG), assists (353 TOTAL, 22.1 APG) and assist/turnover ratio (1.77 A/TO) just across the midway point. UCLA is also second in the conference, first in the nation in rebounding margin (+15.8 RPG).
• UCLA sits second in the NET rankings with a nation-best seven Quad 1 wins.
