UCLA's J.D. Morgan Center, last renovated in 1983, is undergoing a major expansion that will upgrade the current facility into the next century.

The project, scheduled for completion in August of 2000, will increase office space for both administrative and coaching staff, improve the student academic support services and provide a "state of the art" Athletic Hall of Fame exhibiting the illustrious Bruin history.

Here are some of the specifics that can be expected when the J.D. Morgan Athletic Center expansion is completed.

Private offices for all administrators and coaches

New Student-Athlete Academic Learning Center (over double the existing size)
Increased computer access for athlete utilization
Reference library for student-athlete academic projects
Ability to handle academic needs both day to day and evening hours

Video viewing rooms for student-athlete academic projects
Satellite cable sport connections for all offices and conference rooms
Media facilities for major press conferences and events
Multi-purpose room for banquets, receptions and large meetings
Expanded Hall of Fame to highlight UCLA's athletic tradition
Interactive video displays of UCLA's greatest athletes
Mini-theater to increase exposure to UCLA's history
Expanded Hall of Fame wall displays for all 21 sports
Ability to utilize modern media resources and equipment
Starting point for UCLA campus tours for all visitors

Cars and vans may park for $7 per vehicle in Lot 6 or Lot 4. Parking attendants are available at the entrance to each lot approximately one hour prior to most UCLA Athletic events. Early arrivals should visit the parking kiosks to obtain parking passes (Westwood Blvd. kiosk for Lot 6 and North Westwood Plaza kiosk for Lot 4). Buses with E-plates park for free and should visit the parking kiosk on Westwood Blvd. for more information.

Lot 6
From 405 Freeway: Exit Wilshire Blvd. east. Turn left on Westwood Blvd. Proceed through several lights on to the UCLA Campus. Westwood Blvd. will dead-end at Lot 6.

From 10 Freeway: Exit 405 Freeway going north. Exit Wilshire Blvd. east. Turn left on Westwood Blvd. Proceed through several lights on to the UCLA Campus. Westwood Blvd. will dead-end at Lot 6.

Lot 4
From 405 Freeway: Exit Sunset Blvd. east. Proceed east on Sunset for approximately two miles. Turn right on Westwood Plaza. Continue straight down into Lot 4.

From 10 Freeway: Exit 405 Freeway going north. Exit Sunset Blvd. east. Proceed east on Sunset for approximately two miles. Turn right on Westwood Plaza. Continue straight down into Lot 4.
