Seth Moir enters his fifth season as the UCLA baseball programโ€™s Director of Operations in 2016. Moir began his current role on UCLAโ€™s staff in January 2012.

Moirโ€™s duties include handling all day-to-day operations, specializing in statistical analysis, working with the organization and breakdown of game video, and assisting with facility upgrades. He also serves as a liaison between the baseball program and pro scouts.

During his four previous seasons at UCLA, the Bruins have advanced to the College World Series twice (2012, 2013), winning the NCAA Championship in June 2013. Moirโ€™s role has been vital during UCLAโ€™s participation in the postseason and travel to Omaha, Neb., for the College World Series.

Prior to working at UCLA, Moir gained extensive experience working in baseball operations and scouting. In 2011, he served as an intern during the baseball season with the New York Yankees at the organizationโ€™s Spring Training facility in Tampa, Fla.

With the Yankees, Moir was responsible for multiple projects in baseball operations, scouting and video breakdown. He assisted the teamโ€™s scouting department, wrote preliminary scouting reports, worked with coaches on player evaluations and compiled data and video to assist with the MLB Draft.

In 2009 and 2010, Moir served in various capacities with the Spokane Indians, the class-A minor league affiliate of the Texas Rangers in the Northwest League. He served as the teamโ€™s Director of Stadium Operations through both seasons.

Moir, 29, graduated from Montana State in May 2008 with a bachelorโ€™s degree in public relations. He resides in Playa del Rey, Calif.
