Had a very strong two-year career at UCLA (2010-11) after having transferred from South Mountain Community College (Phoenix)...batted .331 with 12 home runs, 22 doubles, 92 RBI and 70 runs in two seasons...selected in the 15th round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals...previously had been selected in the 41st round of the 2008 MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies (as a senior in high school).

One-year letterwinner at South Mountain Community College (Phoenix) under head coach Todd Eastin...batted .361 in 60 regular-season games for South Mountain as a freshman (2009)...earned second-team NJCAA All-Region I honors and secured second-team all-conference accolades...finished the 2009 season ranking sixth in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) with 70 hits and third with seven triples...also totaled three home runs, 16 doubles, 40 RBI and 36 runs...posted a .425 on-base percentage.
