Appeared in 14 games, including five starts on the mound...after starting the year in the bullpen, made four consecutive starts before moving back to the bullpen on March 23...also made five starts as a designated hitter and four at first base...posted a 6.50 ERA in 45.2 innings of work...was fifth on the team with 41 strikeouts in 12 appearances on the mound...his 8.08 strikeouts per game ranked third on the staff...put together an impressive performance at nationally-ranked Texas A&M (Feb. 24), with a career-high eight strikeouts in a career-high 6.2 innings of action...posted six strikeouts in first career start at UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 18)...made the start in the Bruins' 4-3 win over Pepperdine (May 13), allowing three runs with four strikeouts in five innings...finished the season strong, allowing only seven runs while striking out 11 in his final four appearances...hit .224 with 11 hits in 49 at-bats...started a game-winning 10th-inning rally in UCLA's 10-9 win over Oregon State (May 3), with a pinch-hit leadoff single...went 3-for-4 with a career-high two RBI in a 12-2 win over nationally-ranked Tulane at the Kia Baseball Bash (March 1).
