Ordorica recorded her first collegiate at-bat against Utah Valley on March 12, lining out to second ... made her collegiate debut as a pinch-runner in the seventh inning on Feb. 14 against Colorado State.
2015
Did not play in 2015, but was honored with the team Academic Excellence Award as the student-athlete with the highest grade point average.
CHAMBERLAIN HIGH SCHOOL
Ordorica played her last two varsity seasons of softball at Chamberlain High School in Tampa, Fla. โฆ named First Team All-Western Conference in 2014, also earning Tampa Bay Times Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors โฆ was a team captain as a senior, when she hit .442 with three home runs, 26 runs batted in and a perfect fielding percentage โฆ led the Chiefs to a State Final Four appearance in 2014 โฆ coached at Chamberlain by Bob Diez โฆ was an NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete as a junior and senior โฆ graduated with a 7.2 weighted grade point average and a perfect 4.0 unweighted GPA โฆ played her first two years of softball at H.B. Plant HS, also in Tampa โฆ plays travel ball with Wagnerโs Gold, coached by Sean Dunn, helping them to a 2014 ASA/USA 18U Gold National Championship.
Born Isabella Michelle Ordorica in Providence, R.I. โฆ parents are Patricia and Raul, who are both physicians โฆ has an older sister, Luisa and a younger brother, Neil โฆ chose to attend UCLA because of the unparalleled tradition of excellence in softball and academics โฆ favorites include the TV show โ30 Rockโ, actress Tina Fey, the Los Angeles Dodgers and her fatherโs homemade pasta โฆ thing she likes the most about softball is the ability to change the course of a game with one swing of the bat โฆ biggest athletic thrill was committing to being a Bruin, her dream since she was 10 โฆ hobbies include spending time with family and friends, going to the beach and singing in the car with friends โฆ majoring in english.
