Born Jolyna Leeanna Lamar in Ann Arbor, Mich. โฆ parents are Marissa Young and James Lamar โฆ Marissa is the head coach for Dukeโs softball program and a former three-time NFCA All-American at Michigan (2000-03) โฆ James was a linebacker at Indiana (1996-98) โฆ has two brothers, Braylon and Kayden โฆ has one sister, Layla, who plays softball at Duke โฆ brother, Braylon, is a linebacker for the University of Miami [FL] โฆ her great uncle Gerald Young played eight seasons in the MLB (1987-94) โฆ her aunt Jessica Young played softball at North Carolina (2002-05) โฆ athletes she admires most are UCLAโs Maya Brady and Oklahomaโs Tiare Jennings โฆ political science major.
