Rowed in UCLA’s second varsity eight and varsity four crews as a freshman … stroked the third varsity eight at the UC Challenge in Newport Beach, Calif. (March 4), finishing second to the Bruins’ 2V8+ crew while crossing the finish line well ahead of UC Santa Barbara’s two boats … stroked the varsity four in the Bruins’ first home spring competition (March 11), racing against Stanford and San Diego State … rowed four seat in the 2V8+ at the two-day San Diego Crew Classic (April 1-2), leading the Bruins to a first-place finish on day one and into a Grand Final race on day two … stroked the varsity four in the morning session on day one at the Clemson Invitational before rowing four seat in the 2V8+ that afternoon (April 22) … rowed four seat in the 2V8+ on the second day at Clemson, helping the Bruins finish in third place in a B final race (April 23) … stroked the varsity four in the annual crosstown showdown against USC (April 30) … also stroked the varsity four at the season-culminating Pac-12 Championships on Lake Natoma (May 15).
