2024-25
Began her season sitting three seat in the 4V8+ at the USC dual regatta… Continued to claim that seat at the San Diego Crew Classic, where the 4V8+ qualified for the grand finals and finished fifth overall… Kept the momentum up against USD, claiming first with the 4V8+ at the dual regatta… Did not race at the Big Ten Invitational or UCSD Triton Invitational… Finished her season with the 3V4+ at the Big Ten Championships… Sat two seat and helped her crew to third place in the petite final at the conference finale.
High School
Attended Fountain Valley High School for four years… Earned three varsity letters all three years she participated in swimming.
Personal
Born and raised in Fountain Valley, Calif.… Is the daughter of Janice Gill-Hester and Joseph Hester… Mom, Janice, attended UCLA… Has one older sister, Jackie (24), and one younger sister, Kendall (16)... Remarks UCLA as her dream school since the age of eight, hoping to follow in her mother’s footsteps… Lists Coco Gauff, Katie Ledecky and Ilona Maher as the famous athletes she admires most… Enjoys reading, baking and finding new music… Plans to go into publishing following graduation… English major.
