UCLA Women's Swimming & Diving Finish Second At SMU Classic

Southern Methodist University Swimming & Diving Classic which culminated this evening at
Perkins Natatorium.
The Bruins finished the two-day meet with 296 points, second only to Wisconsin with 317 points.
Following day one competition yesterday, UCLA held a tight one-point lead over the Badgers.
In today's events, sophomore Lyndee Hovsepian captured first in the 200 breastroke in 2:16.14.
Senior Keiko Price finished third in the 100 freestyle (50.36) while sophomore Jen Noddle
place second in the 200 IM (2:06.06). Freshman Erin Zehnter finished third in the 500
free (4:52.92) and freshman Heidi Prosser placed second in the three-meter diving event (285.10)
In other UCLA swimming and diving action, the rest of the Bruin squad traveled south to take on
UC San Diego and the University of San Diego in a double dual meet held at USD's Sports
Center Pool. UCLA defeated UCSD 199-95, while also defeating USD 208-86.
Sophomore Erin Thomas, freshman Erica Shugart and junior Julia Voitovitsch each won multiple
swimming events, while freshman Regan Gosnell and junior Anne Baghramian won the three-meter
and one-meter diving events respectively.
Next weekend the Bruins travel to the desert to take on Arizona State Friday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 13, UCLA will face Arizona in Tucson at 1 p.m.
