Women's Golfers Tied for Fourth after First Round in Washington

The UCLA women's golf team is tied for fourth place after the first round of the Edean Ihlandfeldt Invitational, hosted by the University of Washington at Sahalee Country Club.
The Bruins posted a team score of 306, 18-over par, and are tied with Tulsa. USC leads the field at 292, four-over par, followed by Pepperdine at 304 and Washington at 305. Stanford is seventh at 307.
Individually, UCLA senior Laura Moffat is tied for 10th place after posting a score of 74. Freshman Gina Umeck is tied for 15th at 76. Sophomore Saki Uechi shot a 77 and is tied for 21st and junior Alicia Um is tied for 36th at 79. Freshman Johanna Andersson is tied for 67th after carding a score of 85.
Stanford's Stephanie Keever and USC's Nicole Dalkas are tied for first place after posting rounds of 70, two-under par. Three players are tied for third place at one-under par 71.
Competition continues through Wednesday.
