Bruins End Season with Loss at Pepperdine

EUGENE, OR - The eighth-ranked UCLA women's volleyball team posted a 3-0 victory over Oregon on Saturday night, with a 15-9, 15-10, 15-7 victory in Eugene. With the win, the Bruins improve to 16-5, 11-2 in the Pac-10, while the Ducks fall to 9-12, 1-11 Pac-10.

UCLA opened the match with a .422 attack percentage in the first game of the match, and finished hitting .353 as a team. The Bruins out-blocked Oregon by a 9-1 margin, and were led on the blocks by senior Elisabeth Bachman and junior setter Erika Selsor, who had four block assists apiece.

Sophomore outside hitter Lauren Fendrick also had an impressive evening, as she double-doubled with 10 kills and 10 digs to go along with a match-high four service aces and a .450 attack percentage.

Junior Kristee Porter led the Bruins with 22 kills on the evening while hitting .421, and was joined in double-figure kills by Ashley Bowles with 11 and Fendrick with 10.

The Bruins return to action on Friday, November 3, with a key Pac-10 showdown in Pauley Pavilion against cross-town rival USC. First serve is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., as the match will be televised live on FOX Sports Net.
