
Women's Volleyball Falls to Washington State

PULLMAN, WA - The seventh-ranked UCLA women's volleyball team suffered its fourth conference loss of the season on Thursday night, losing a four-game match to Washington State. Game scores were 15-3, 5-15, 15-11, 16-14. With the loss, the Bruins fall to 19-7 overall, 13-4 in the Pac-10, while the Cougars improve to 18-8, 9-8 Pac-10.
Junior outside hitter Kristee Porter led four Bruins with double-figure kills, as she had team-highs of 19 kills and 16 digs. Lauren Fendrick also double-doubled with 12 kills and 12 digs to go along with a match-high three service aces. Elisabeth Bachman was UCLA's top blocker, checking in with 13 kills to go along with one solo block and five block assists. The Bruins with double-figure kills were rounded out by Ashley Bowles, who totalled 16 kills with nine digs and four block assists.
UCLA completes its Pac-10 schedule on Friday night with a 7 pm match at Washington. The Bruins regular season comes to a conclusion on Nov. 24-25 with two matches at the Baylor Thanksgiving Classic.
