Men's Golfers Ninth After First Round in Hawaii

The UCLA men's golf team, ranked 24th, is in ninth place after the first round of the TaylorMade Big Island Classic in Hawaii.
The Bruins' score of 293 trails Texas, which is the first round leader at 278. Fresno State and TCU are tied for second at 279, followed by Georgia Tech and Oregon at 281.
Individually, UCLA senior Brandon DiTullio posted a one-over par 71, followed by sophomore Parker McLachlin, who carded a 72. Juniors Jeff McGraw and Ross Fulgentis and freshman Travis Johnson each recorded first round scores of 75.
Action continues tomorrow and Saturday.
