EUGENE, OR - UCLA bounced back from Friday's loss to Oregon State to down the Oregon Ducks on Saturday by a score of 4-3. With the win, the Bruins improve to 43-4 overall, 6-4 Pac-10, while Oregon falls to 25-28, 1-9 Pac-10.

The Bruins scored three runs in the top of the first inning when Natasha Watley led off the inning with a double to left field, and scored on an error during Tairia Mims' at-bat. Stacey Nuveman then followed with a two-run home run, her 13th of the season, to give UCLA the 3-0 lead.

The Bruins would add their fourth run in the fifth inning when Mims led off with a single. Julie Hoshizaki, who came in to run for Mims, would eventually score on a error by Duck pitcher Lisa Wangler.

All three Duck runs came in the bottom of the seventh inning on two home runs, a solo shot by Andrea Vidlund and a two-run homer by Kate Peterson.

The Ducks and Bruins return to the diamond on Sunday at 1 pm for the final game of the weekend series.
