LOS ANGELES – No. 8 seed UCLA will host UCF for its 16th Super Regional appearance this week from May 22-24 at Easton Stadium. Game one of the Best-of-3 series between the Bruins (50-8) and Knights (41-17-1) on Friday is scheduled for 6 p.m. (PT) on ESPNU. Game two will be broadcast on ESPN at 7 p.m. Matt Schumacker (pbp) and Kenzie Fowler (analyst) will call all games from Los Angeles.

UCLA is powered by senior sluggers Megan Grant and Jordan Woolery. Grant, a USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 3 Finalist, hit her NCAA-record 40th home run last time out with a grand slam versus South Carolina in the Regional Final. With 89 career homers, Grant is one shy of tying the UCLA career record of 90 held by Stacey Nuveman. Woolery, the 2026 Big Ten Player of the Year, is on pace to become the first player in NCAA history to hit .500 with 30+ homers and 100+ RBIs in the same season.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR TOP 10 FINALISTS
Senior slugger Megan Grant was named a Top 3 Finalist for the prestigious USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Award on Monday, May 18. The winner will be announced prior to the start of the Women's College World Series on May 26. Additionally, Jordan Woolery was named a Top 10 Finalist for the award for a second consecutive season. This marks the fourth time in program history that two UCLA players have made the cut for the Top 10 in the same season, last accomplished in 2023. The winner will be revealed prior to the start of the Women's College World Series and will receive a trophy modeled after UCLA great Lisa Fernandez.

NOTES ON THE BRUINS' LINEUP
• UCLA leads the nation and has set an NCAA single-season record with 193 home runs this season.
• UCLA has set an NCAA single-season record with 1,313 total bases, surpassing Oklahoma's mark of 1,279 in 2021.
• With 628 runs scored, UCLA is 10 runs shy of tying the NCAA record of 638 set by Oklahoma in 2021.
• Eight different UCLA players have hit double-digit home runs in the same season. UCLA's previous best for a season was five.
• UCLA also leads the NCAA in runs scored (628), scoring (10.83), slugging (.836), on-base percentage (.494) and walks (303).
• UCLA's lineup boasts the NCAA leaders homers, OBP, SLG and OPS (Grant), RBIs (Woolery) and runs scored (Slimp).

• Megan Grant (40) and Jordan Woolery (34) are the first teammates in NCAA history to each hit 30+ homers in the same season.
• Grant broke the NCAA single-season home run record with her 38th of the year versus Nebraska on May 9.
• Grant has broken her Big Ten home run record of 26 set last season. She needed 29 fewer games this season to tie that mark.
• Grant has broken Stacey Nuveman's UCLA single-season home run record of 31, set in 1999, with 40 homers so far this season.
• Woolery ranks second in NCAA Division I history with a program-record 111 RBIs and 212 total bases.
• With 111 RBIs, Woolery is 17 RBIs shy of tying the NCAA single-season record of 128 set by Arizona's Laura Espinoza in 1995.
• Woolery ranks fifth on UCLA's career hits list with 290 base knocks over 238 games played.
• Rylee Slimp has broken Natasha Watley's UCLA single-season runs record of 75, set in 2001, with 93 runs so far this season.

NOTES ON THE TEAM
• UCLA tied the program record for run-rule wins in a season with its 28th versus South Carolina in the Regional final.
• Kelly Inouye-Perez became the 55th head coach in NCAA Division I history to win 900 games at Rutgers on March 22.
• Inouye-Perez became UCLA softball's all-time winningest head coach earlier this season with her 888th career victory.
• UCLA plays its 52nd season of softball this spring, the 20th with Inouye-Perez at the helm.
• UCLA made an NCAA-record 33rd Women's College World Series appearance in 2025, and the 11th under Inouye-Perez.
• UCLA's roster consists of 10 returners and 11 newcomers, including six true freshmen and five incoming transfers.
• Entering 2026, Inouye-Perez ranks seventh all-time and second among active head coaches with a .796 winning percentage.

BRUIN WORKHORSE
• Taylor Tinsley has pitched 203.0 of UCLA's 349.1 total innings this season (58.1%).
• Tinsley ranks second in the country with 30 victories and fifth with 22 complete-game performances.
• Tinsley is the eighth Bruin pitcher to record a 30-win campaign, and the first since Ally Carda in 2015.
• Tinsley is the second Bruin hurler in the last 16 season to record 20+ complete games in a season (other: Rachel Garcia in 2018).
• Tinsley has appeared in each of UCLA's last 13 games, pitching 67.2 of the team's 76 innings over that stretch.
• The last UCLA pitcher to start every NCAA Tournament game was Ally Carda with eight in 2015 (must advance to WCWS).
• Tinsley ranks eighth in the nation and first in the Big Ten with 43 appearances in UCLA's 58 games this season.

• UCLA has easily surpassed the previous program single-season home run record of 108 in 2010 with 193 so far this season.
• UCLA has tied its program record set last season with 28 run-rule victories through 58 games in 2026.
• The 2026 Bruins tied and broke the former program single-season home run record in their 37th game of the year.
• UCLA has hit a program-record eight homers in a game three times this season. Before 2026, the record was seven set in 2013.
• UCLA has broken the program single-season record for runs scored in a season with 628 (previous mark was 499 in 2015).
• UCLA's current slash line of .385 AVG/.836 SLG/.494 OBP are all on pace to set new program single-season bests.
• UCLA is averaging 10.83 runs per game, roughly three whole runs better than the previous program record of 7.92 in 2015.
