UCLA head coach Sue Enquist
Re: The game
"Tairia (Mims) played well and we stayed on our game plan. There were a couple of emotional turning points. The big one was the play at the plate (in the fifth inning). I don't think anyone can appreciate how much Erin (Rahn) was going to be thrown out by when I sent her."

Re: San Diego State

"We've paid a lot of attention to them here at the tournament because we haven't seen them before. Durazo is a quality pitcher. She knows what she wants, what she can do and what she can't do. Even when we keyed in on her best pitch, she still came back to it. Their team really seems to enjoy the underdog role."

UCLA outfielder Erin Rahn
Re: The play at the plate in the fifth inning
"I knew it was going to be close. I knew I would have to slide around the catcher to get in there".

Re: Being a San Diego native and playing against San Diego State

"I played on the same team as their catcher last summer, so I guess there is a little rivalry there."
