The UCLA women's golf team finished second Tuesday at the Kent Youel Invitational, hosted by the University of Hawaii at the Kapolei Golf Course on Oahu.

The Bruins posted a team score of 888, including a final round of 292, and finished 18 shots behind first-place California. Stanford placed third at 893, followed by New Mexico at 898 and San Francisco at 901.

Individually, sophomore Yvonne Choe tied for sixth place at 220 after posting a final round score of 73. Junior Saki Uechi and freshman Susie Mathews tied for 11th at 222. Uechi carded an even par 72 on the final day. Junior Gina Umeck tied for 19th at 224 and Bridget Dwyer tied for 48th at 234.

Stanford's Kim Rowton won the event with a 54-hole total of 215, including a final round one-uner par 71.

The Hawaii event concludes the Bruins' Fall schedule. Their next tournament will be the TRW Challenge in February.
