Kacey Ly Earns Third Big Ten Freshman of the Week Award

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Freshman Kacey Ly of the No. 15 UCLA women's golf team was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the third time this season, the conference office announced Thursday.
Ly previously earned the honor on Feb. 5 and Feb. 19.
Ly (-10, 206) led the Bruins with a career-best third-place finish in a 91-player field at the Huntington Bank Collegiate on Tuesday, April 7. The result marked her fourth top-four finish in six tournaments this spring.
Ly carded three under-par rounds of 70-66-70 at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas. She posted the lowest 18-hole score of her career with a 6-under 66 in the second round, marking her fourth sub-70 round of the season.
Ly recorded two eagles on day one of the event, both on the par-5 10th hole across her two rounds Monday. She added four birdies during a bogey-free back nine in Tuesday's final round.
UCLA will make its second appearance at the Big Ten Championship from April 24-26 at Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, California.
