Conference Championship History
UCLA will compete in its second Big Ten Conference Championship this weekend after finishing seventh out of 17 teams at last year's event in Havre de Grace, Maryland. The Bruins have won eight conference titles, most recently in the Pac-12 with back-to-back championships in 2017 and 2018. Six different players have earned individual conference titles in program history, most recently Lilia Vu (2017) and Patty Tavatanakit (2018) at the Pac-12 Championships.
Last Time Out
UCLA (-18, 846) placed third out of 16 NCAA programs at the Huntington Bank Collegiate at Trinity Forest Golf Club on Tuesday, April 6. Freshman Kacey Ly (-10, 206) and sophomore Jen Lee (-9, 207) placed third and fourth, respectively, to lead the Bruins. Ly's career-best third-place result marks her fourth top-4 finish over five tournaments this spring. Lee also notched her third top-5 result this season.
Freshman Phenom
Kacey Ly has earned three Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors in her debut season, tied for the most in the conference (with Purdue's Luana Valero). She has put together a stellar spring, recording four top-five finishes in six events. Ly leads the Bruins with four top-five results this season and holds a 71.9 scoring average during the spring schedule.
