The second-ranked UCLA women's golf team defeated Auburn in the consolation finals of the Collegiate Match Play Championships, hosted at the Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach, SC.

In the third place match, junior Charlotte Mayorkas, sophomore Susie Mathews and senior Gina Umeck each recorded victories. Mayorkas defeated Maria Martinez, 2 and 1, Mathews beat Nicole Hage, 3 and 2, and Umeck trounced Jennifer Head, 7 and 5.
