The 10th ranked UCLA women's golf team is in ninth place after two rounds of the NCAA Championships, hosted by Purdue University at its Kampen Course in West Lafayette, IN.

The Bruins matched their score from Tuesday, posting a team total of 314, 26-over par. They are four shots ahead of 10th place Arizona State and five shots ahead of Cal and Duke. USC leads the field at 608, followed by Oklahoma State at 611 and Pepperdine at 613. The Waves posted the day's best score, a 10-over par 298, and climbed to within five shots of the lead.

In fourth place is Ohio State at 616, followed by Florida and Auburn at 620. Purdue is seventh at 625 and Texas is eighth at 627.

Individually for the Bruins, Hana Kim posted a second round score of 75 and is tied for 15th place at 153. Susie Mathews is tied for 21st at 154 following a 78 on Wednesday. Charlotte Mayorkas fell into a tie for 49th at 158 after posting an 83 in the second round. Melissa Martin is tied for 85th at 164 and Gina Umeck is tied for 108th at 167.

Oklahoma State's Annie Thurman leads the field at three-over par 147 after posting a second round score of 74. Washington State's Kim Welch climbed from 10th place to second after posting a score of even par 72. She is one stroke behind Thurman at four-over par 148.
