The second-ranked UCLA women's golf team won the PING/ASU Invitational on Sunday. The Bruins have now won three tournament titles in their last four events, including two in a row.

In the final round, the Bruins fired a team score of 282, six-under par. That score was the lowest of the day. Second-place USC's 54-hole score of 877 was 13-over par. New Mexico finished third at 881, followed by fourth-place Texas at 885 and fifth-place Cal at 886.

Individually, UCLA junior Charlotte Mayorkas won medalist honors with a nine-under par total of 207. Mayorkas, who carded six birdies (including four in a row) on the back nine for a 31, set a new single round scoring record by posting a seven-under par 65 on Sunday. The victory was Mayorkas' third in 2004 and fourth overall.

Senior Gina Umeck followed yesterday's round of 68 with a solid 70 in the final round and took second place honors with a three-round total of 212, four-under par. Umeck's 54-hole score was a career collegiate best.

UCLA senior Krystal Shearer tied for 12th at 219 (+3) after posting a final round 73, and freshman Hannah Jun tied for 27th at 223, seven-over par. Sophomore Susie Mathews tied for 44th at 227 (+11) after a final round score of 74.
