
Bruin Blue Team Tied for First after Round One

The UCLA men's golf Blue Team is tied for first place after the first round in the Carson Daly Invitational, hosted by Loyola-Marymount at Robinson Ranch Golf Course in Santa Clarita.
The Bruins posted a team score of 288, four-over par, and are tied with The Master's College. Indiana-Purdue University is third at 296, Notre Dame de Namur is fourth at 302, followed by Sacramento State at 303 and Loyola-Marymount at 313.
UCLA freshman Peter Campbell leads the field after firing a five-under par 66. He owns a two-stroke lead over Seth Cotter of the Master's College. Sophomore Breene Murphy is tied for eighth after an even par 71, and freshman Joakim Renstrom is tied for 13th after a first round score of 73. Freshman Chris Heintz posted a 78 and is tied for 27th.
Although the second round was completed Monday, technical difficulties delayed the dissemination results. The third round will be completed on Tuesday.
