Bruins Finish Seventh at Fall Preview

UCLA's top-ranked women's golf team finished in seventh place Wednesday at the Mercedes-Benz of Bend Fall Preview hosted by Oregon State at the Sunriver Resort in Bend, OR.
The Bruins posted a team score of 291 (+7) and finished at 24-over par 876. Duke won the event with a 54-hole total of 858 (+6), followed by Washington at 864 (+12), Oklahoma State at 866 (+14) and Arizona State at 868 (+16).
Freshman Amie Cochran led the Bruins with a three-round total of 215 (+2) and tied for eighth place. She posted a 72 on Wednesday. Sophomore Hannah Jun tied for 28th at 220 (+7) after carding a 72 in the final round. Freshman Vanessa Brockett and senior Charlotte Mayorkas tied for 40th at 223 (+10), followed by junior Susie Mathews who tied for 62nd at 227 (+14).
Oklahoma State's Karin Sjodin won the tournament with a score of 206 (-7), followed by Louise Stahle of Arizona State, who was one stroke back.
