
UCLA Tied for Fourth after Round One

The second-ranked UCLA women's golf team was tied for fourth place after the first round Monday of the Regional Challenge, hosted at the Palos Verdes Golf Club.
The Bruins posted a team score of 301 (+17) and were tied for fourth place with Wake Forest. Arizona State was in first place at 293 (+9), followed by USC and Cal at 296 (+12).
Individually for the Bruins, senior Susie Mathews birdied the final hole to drop into red numbers and move into a three-way tie for first at one-under par 70. Freshmen Jane Park and Tiffany Joh each posted scores of 76 (+5) and were tied for 25th place. Sophomore Amie Cochran and freshman Ryann O'Toole each carded a 79 (+8) and were tied for 50th.
Jennifer Osborn of Arizona State and Cal's Sophia Sheridan were also tied for first with Mathews.
