The UCLA swim team improved to 3-0 on the year with two wins on Saturday as they defeated UC Santa Barbara 160-102 and Oregon State 176-86. The Bruins are now 24-0 all-time against the Gauchos and 6-0 against the Beavers.

On the day, UCLA broke four meet records and had seven event wins highlighted by double victories by senior Nicolette Teo and junior Anna Poteete. Teo won both the 100 (1:03.34) and 200 (2:17.24) breaststrokes, while Poteete won the 50 (23.53) and 200 free (1:51.31) races. Poteete equaled the 10-year-old meet record against UCSB in the 50 free, and also set a new meet record against OSU in that race. The All-American also set a meet record against OSU in the 200 free.

Freshmen Emily Bibb and Lauren Hall also had a big day as both recorded wins during the meet. Bibb won the 1000 free in a time of 10:13.42, while Hall was first in the 500 free (4:58.47) and second in the 200 free (1:52.01) and 200 fly (2:05.44).

The 400 freestyle relay team of Poteete, freshmen Kelly Colligan and Alex Sullivan, and junior Silke Nowotzin set an OSU meet record with their win in a time of 3:29.04.
