The top-ranked UCLA women's golf team finished third Sunday at the 23rd Pac-10 Women's Golf Championship at the Stanford Golf Course.

In the final round, the Bruins posted their best score of the tournament, but it wasn't enough to withstand the charges of Arizona State and USC. The Sun Devils and Trojans were each six-under par on the day with ASU capturing the conference crown with a 54-hole total of 852 (E). USC was second at 861 (+9), followed by UCLA at 864 (+12). In fourth place was Arizona at 884 (+32), followed by Cal at 887 (+35).

Individually for the Bruins, sophomores Maria Jose Uribe and Glory Yang led the way with Top 10 results. Uribe posted a final round 69 (-2) and tied for fifth place at 212 (-1). Yang fired a three-under par 68 and placed seventh at 213 (E). Freshman Stephanie Kono tied for 16th at 220 (+7) after posting a 73 (+1) in the final round, and senior Tiffany Joh and junior Sydnee Michaels tied for 24th at 225 (+12). Joh carded a 75 (+4) and Michaels signed for a 76 (+5).

Arizona State's Carlota Ciganda won the Pac-10 individual crown on the first extra playoff hole, defeating teammate Jennifer Osborn and USC's Jennifer Song.

In all-conference balloting, six Bruins made three different teams: Yang and Kono were voted to the first team: Joh, Michaels and Uribe earned second team acclaim and senior Ryann O'Toole was selected honorable mention.
