The No.1 ranked UCLA women's golf team recorded its fourth consecutive Top 10 finish at the NCAA Championship Friday, finishing sixth at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, NC.

The Bruins (1,169, +17) recorded their best team score of the tournament, a one-under par 287, and finished behind three other conference rivals and first-time NCAA champion Purdue. The Boilermakers (1,153, +1) held off a late charge from USC (1,154, +2) to win by a stroke with Arizona State (1,161, +9) and Arizona (1,166, +14) finishing fourth and fifth, respectively. Alabama captured third place at 1,157 (+5). Purdue became the first Big 10 school to win the NCAA women's golf title.

UCLA recordedd its seventh Top 10 finish in the last eight years.

Individually, the Bruins were led by Brianna Do's two-under par 70, which enabled her to finish in a tie for 43rd place at 296 (+8). After playing her front side in one-over par 37, she birdied the first four holes on her back nine, made one bogey and carded an inward score of 33.

Senior Sydnee Michaels added a 71 (-1) in her final collegiate round and tied for 39th at 295 (+7). Freshman Tiffany Lua was the Bruins' highest finisher, tying for 27th place at 293 (+5) following her final round 72 (E). Sophomore Stephanie Kono also tied for 43rd place after posting a score of 74 (+2) on Friday. Junior Glory Yang tied for 76th after posting a score of 78 (+6).

Oklahoma State's Caroline Hedwell won medalist honors after firing her second straight 68 (-4) to finish at 276 (-12).
