Bruins Fourth after 36 holes at Nicklaus Invitational

The third-ranked UCLA men's golf team was in fourth place at the Jack Nicklaus Invitational, hosted by Ohio State at Muirfield Village in Dublin, OH.
The Bruins posted a 36-hole score of 586 (+10) and were 12 shots behind first-place Ohio State (574 (-2). Kent State and Texas were tied for second at 575 (-1). Illinois and LSU were tied for fifth at 588 (+12).
Individually for the Bruins, sophomore Anton Arboleda was tied for ninth place at 144 (E) after posting rounds of 70-74. Junior Pontus Widegren, senior Alex Shi Yup Kim and freshman Jay Hwang were tied for 21st place at 148 (+4). Widegren carded scores of 71-77, Kim posted rounds of 73-75 and Hwang signed for scores of 76-72. Freshman Matt Pinizzotto was tied for 34th place at seven-over par 151 following rounds of 75-76.
Illinois' Thomas Peters was the leader in the clubhouse at 137 (-7) following rounds of 66-71.
