Golfers Build Four-Shot Lead at Stanford

The No. 1 ranked UCLA women's golf team built a four-shot lead Saturday entering the final round of the Stanford Intercollegiate.
The Bruins recorded their second straight team score below par, posting a round of 279 (-5) for a 36-hole mark of 556 (-12). Vanderbilt also fired a 279 (-5) and was in second place at 560 (-8). Oregon was third at 563 (-5), followed by USC and Washington, which were tied for fourth at 564 (-4).
Three of the Bruins' five players recorded scores under par in the second round, led by junior Lee Lopez's three-under par 68. Lopez was tied for fifth place at five-under 137. Freshman Kyle Roig was tied for ninth place at 139 (-3) after posting a 69 (-2). Junior Tiffany Lua was tied for 15th at 140 (-2) following her second straight score of 70 (-1). Freshman Erynne Lee was tied for 18th at 141 (-1) after posting a round of 72 (+1) and sophomore Ani Gulugian posted a score of 73 (+2) and was tied for 23rd at 142 (E).
Seniors Stephanie Kono and Brianna Do are playing in this event as individuals. Kono fired a 69 (-2) on Saturday and was tied for third place at 136 (-6). Do was tied for 31st at 143 (+1) following a round of 70 (-1).
Oregon's Casey Isagawa and Washington's SooBin Kim were the leaders in the clubhouse at 134 (-8) entering the final round.
