
Bruins Finish Second Day at Stanford

The UCLA Women's Golf team finished their second round of play at the Stanford Intercollegiate today in Palo Alto, CA. The Bruins ended their day with a team score of 295 (+11), bringing their 36-hole total to 591 (23) and placing the team in 10th heading into the final round.
UCLA improved on their day one score by one stroke, climbing in front of the #9 UC Davis Aggies, who fell to 11th. The tournament once again saw no team finish under par, as leaders #4 USC finished day two with a 285 (+1) to bring their total to 571 (+3). The Trojans held off #1 Washington, as the Huskies matched the Trojans on the day to move into second with an overall total of 575 (+7). Pac-12 foes Oregon State and Stanford helped fill out the top five, as the Beavers went six over on the day to bring their 36-hole score to 577 (+9) and tie with Oklahoma State for third. Hosts Stanford finished six over as well, finishing their second round at 579 (+11) in a tie for fifth with #15 Vanderbilt.
Individually, the Bruins were lead by Louise Ridderstrom, as the freshman improved on her first score by six strokes and carded a 72 (+1). Following Ridderstrom were senior Lee Lopez and junior Ani Gulugian, with Lopez birdying her last hole of the day as each notched a 74 (+3). Sophomore Erynne Lee was close behind with a 75 (+4), and classmate Kyle Roig finished her second round with a 77 (+6).
