LOS ANGELES - The 15th-ranked Bruins wrapped up their first day at the Trojan Diving Invitational at USC on Friday. Junior Paulina Guzman placed second in the One-Meter event, while freshman Montana Monahan was second in the Platform event.

Guzman posted a score of 269.30 in her final six dives, improving on a 244.00 score in her first six. Sophomore Emma Ivory-Ganja placed fourth with a 253.10 score in the final. Junior Michelle Vale also finished in the Top 12 in the preliminaries and was seventh in the final at 233.65. Senior Maggy Boyd (213.30, 13th) and Monahan (212.55, 15th) just missed out on making the final.

In the platform final, Monahan's five dives gave her a score of 208.65, good for second. Boyd placed fifth with a total of 178.15.

The Bruins wrap up action at the Trojan Diving Invitational on Saturday, with the Three-Meter prelims starting at 10 a.m.
