
Bruins in Second Place after Day One in Arizona

Junior Lee Lopez and freshman Erynne Lee were under par on Sunday as the top-ranked UCLA women's golf team positioned itself into second place after the opening round in the Arizona Wildcat Invitational.
Lopez posted a round of 70 (-2) and Lee carded a score of 71 (-1) and the Bruins were four shots behind host Arizona heading into the second round. UCLA recorded a team score of 289 (+1) and Arizona was the only team under par at 285 (-3). Arizona State was third at 291 (+3), followed by fourth-place New Mexico (300, +12) and fifth-place Colorado (301 (+13).
Lopez was in third place, three shots behind Arizona's Manon Gidali, who fired an opening round 67 (-5). Lee was four shots back. Sophomore Ani Gulugian and junior Tiffany Lua were tied for 13th at 74 (+2) and freshman Kyle Roig was tied for 48th at 79 (+7).
Senior Brianna Do, playing as an individual, was tied for ninth after signing for a 73 (+1).
