Jahanshahi Ends Career With All-American Honors

Yasi Jahanshahi wrapped up her Bruin career with All-American honors on the final night of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships as the senior finished 12th in the 200 butterfly.

Jahanshahi advanced to the finals after finishing 11th during the morning prelims (1:55.54) and finished 12th with a time of 1:55.75 in the evening finals. She earned double All-American honorable mention honors during the meet after breaking the school record in the 100 fly on Friday night.

Also in the 200 fly, freshman Noelle Tarazona finished 18th with a time of 1:56.88 and senior Bianca Casciari was 38th (1:59.46).

In the 200 backstroke, sophomore Anna Senko was 44th with a time of 1:58.87. Kathryn Murphy, also a sophomore, placed 26th in the 100 free with a time of 48.99.

The Bruins finished in a tie for 37th with nine points, while Cal won the team title.
