LOS ANGELES - All four Bruins in the Women's Three-Meter event on day one of the Bruin Diving Invitational reached the final, led by sophomore Emma Ivory-Ganja's second-place showing. Junior Paulina Guzman placed 12th, senior Michelle Vale was 13th and senior Maggy Boyd finished 15th.

Ivory-Ganja was first after the preliminaries, recording a six-dive score of 314.70. Vale was 11th after the morning session with a mark of 256.10, followed by Guzman (13th, 254.50) and Boyd (14th, 252.90).

Scores carried over for the final six dives, with USC's Haley Ishimatsu surpassing Ivory-Ganja to take the title. Ivory-Ganja, who defeated Ishimatsu in the Three-Meter event at the Trojan Diving Invitational last Nov. 3, had a score of 299.45 in her final six dives to finish with a total of 614.15. Guzman moved up to 12th with a 275.55 in the final, while Vale had a season-best, six-mark score of 261.00 to finish 13th. Boyd placed 15th, scoring 257.90 in the final.

The Bruin Diving Invitational continues on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Women's One-Meter and the Men's Three-Meter. In addition, the UCLA swimming and diving teams will take on Kansas and San Diego State in a tri-meet starting at 11 a.m. The UCLA senior class will be honored prior to the meet.
