LOS ANGELES - UCLA wrapped up competition at the Bruin Diving Invitational on Sunday with the Platform event. All three Bruins made the final, as sophomore Emma Ivory-Ganja placed fifth, senior Maggy Boyd was 10th and junior Paulina Guzman was 12th.
Ivory-Ganja posted a season-best score of 242.70 in the first five dives of the Platform competition to place fifth and remained in that spot, finishing with a total of 480.45 after 10 attempts.
Boyd also had a season-best total of 209.45 in the preliminaries to finish 10th. She remained in that spot after the final, totaling a score of 417.55.
Guzman had a career-high score of 201.90 in the first five dives of the prelims, putting her in 12th. She finished in 12th with a 10-dive effort of 400.35.
The UCLA diving team returns to action on Jan. 25 and 26 when they take part in the Air Force Diving Invitational in Colorado Springs, Colo.
