Lenz and Guzman Reach 3-Meter Final on Day One of Wildcat Invite

TUCSON, Ariz. - Freshman Annika Lenz and senior Paulina Guzman each made the 3-Meter Final on Friday on the first day of the Wildcat Diving Invitational, as Lenz placed third and Guzman finished fourth.

Lenz posted a six-dive preliminary score of 295.45 to finish third, while Guzman was seventh with 274.25, as both advanced to the event final. Senior Haley McNamara just missed out on the 3-Meter Consolation Final with a 17th-place showing and a six-dive score of 237.80. Sophomore Montana Monahan (20th, 233.85) and freshman Danni Repper (30th, 214.60) rounded out the Bruin competitors.

In the final, Lenz solidified her third-place position with a 298.60 score in her final six dives. Guzman was just behind her teammate, jumping up three spots to fourth after scoring 293.10 in the final.

The Bruins are back on the boards on Saturday with the 1-Meter competition, concluding the weekend on Sunday with the Platform.
