Brighid Dwyer enters her first season as a student assistant coach after an impressive collegiate career. Dwyer was a two-time All-American during her Bruin career, competing in the backstroke, butterfly and as a member of various relay teams.

Dwyer will graduate in 2002 with a degree in sociology and a minor in education. In addition to her athletic accolades, Dwyer earned Second Team Pac-10 All-Academic Honors and was nominated for a Pac-10 Postgraduate Scholarship. The Oakland, CA native was a three-year team mentor and member of the Bruin Athletic Council. Dwyer was voted team captain as a senior.
