Malin Svahnstrom will serve as the undergraduate assistant for a second season. Svahnstrom ended her career as a 12-time All-American for the Bruins, and is also a two-time Olympian for Sweden. In the 2004 Athens Olympics, Svahnstrom was part of the Swedish 800 free relay team that finished in eighth place. In the 2000 Sydney Olympics, she earned a bronze medal as a member of the 400 free relay team. Svahnstrom currently holds four school-records: 200 yd. free (1:47.08), 200 scm free (1:59.05), 200 yd IM (1:59.58), 200 scm IM (2:12.81) and was a member of six school-record breaking relay teams. Svahnstrom was voted Outstanding newcomer in 2002 and Most Valuable Swimmer for the Bruins in 2003.
