May 21, 2014 | Women's Golf
The Bruins, battling gusty winds in their morning round. posted a team score of 293 (+13) and were tied with USC and Arizona at 584 (+24). Oklahoma held the second-round lead at 575 (+15), followed by Duke at 578 (+18) and Arizona State at 580 (+20).
“I think it has been a real test because of the wind," said Head Coach Carrie Forsyth. "If the wind really dies down, I think it will be a pretty scorable course. You'll be able to score on it. With the wind and when it has been this strong and gusty, it's it's played difficult, and I think the scores reflect that. You have a lot of great teams plus 20 through two rounds, that's quite a bit over par.”
