All Four Bruins Make 3M Final, Three in Top Seven on Day One of Invite

LOS ANGELES - All four Bruins made the final of the 3-Meter competition on the first day of the Bruin Diving Invitational at Spieker Aquatics Center on Saturday morning, with three finishing in the Top 7. Sophomore Annika Lenz was fourth overall, freshman Maria Polyakova placed fifth, freshman Ciara Monahan finished seventh and sophomore Danni Repper was 15th.

Through the first six dives, three Bruins were in the Top 10 spots. In the preliminaries, Lenz was sixth with a score of 274.55, with Polyakova just behind her in seventh at 272.70. Monahan placed 10th in the prelims (257.00), while Repper claimed the last spot in the final with a 234.00 (18th).

In the final, Lenz improved to fourth with a six-dive score of 288.55 for a cumulative total of 563.10. Polyakova placed fifth with a 561.85 after going 289.15 in her last six dives. Monahan was two spots back in seventh with a 542.70, posting a personal-best 285.70 in her final six dives to post an NCAA Zones qualifying mark. Repper improved three spots to 15th (475.15) with a 241.15 in the final.

The Bruin Diving Invitational continues on Sunday with the Women's 1-Meter and the Men's 3-Meter beginning at 11 a.m.
