ALPHARETTA, Ga. - The Bruins are in 16th place following the opening round of the U.S. Collegiate Championship at the Golf Club of Georgia Lakeside Course.

Sophomore Brandon Mai parred his first eight holes, made two birdies on his second nine and finished +3 (75) to place him in a tie for 55th.
Freshman Cole Madey made three birdies on his second nine to shoot even par, but troubles on his first nine put him at +4 (76) and in a tie for 59th. Senior Jake Knapp rebounded from a tough opening stretch to notch two birdies on his second nine, finishing at +5 (67) and in a tie for 67th. Freshman Patrick Murphy recorded a non-scoring 78 (+6, T-76) with three birdies.
