ROAD TRIP WRAPS UP ON HALLOWEEN WEEKEND
The eighth-ranked Bruins finish their four-match road swing this weekend at Washington State on Friday (7 p.m.) and at #5 Washington on Sunday (11 a.m.). Friday's match will have a live video feed on UCLABruins.com, while Sunday's contest will air on Pac-12 Networks. Live stats will also be available for both matches on UCLABruins.com.

WHAT'S NEXT
After four straight matches on the road, the Bruins enjoy four in a row in Westwood, starting Wednesday, Nov. 4 against Colorado at 7:30 p.m. on Pac-12 Networks. UCLA then hosts Utah on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. Both matches are at Pauley Pavilion.

BRUINS IN THE POLLS
For the eighth straight week, the Bruins gained points in the AVCA rankings and improved two spots to eighth in this week's poll. UCLA received 118 additional points this week, and since coming in at 25th with just 88 points after the opening weekend, has jumped up 17 spots and gained 1,057 points in the last eight polls. UCLA is one of six teams ranked inside the Top 25 (#1 USC, #5 Washington, #7 Stanford, #14 Arizona State and #19 Arizona), with Colorado (26th most) and Oregon (33rd most) also receiving votes. Other ranked or receiving votes teams on the Bruins' schedule include #6 Hawai'i, #24 San Diego, #29 SMU and #30 Long Beach State.

BRUINS IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
The Bruins rank in the Top 50 nationally in four statistical categories, coming into the week at 10th in assists (13.55) and kills (14.40) per set, 39th in blocks per set (2.57) and 45th in digs per set (16.21). Individually, junior Jordan Anderson is fifth in kps (4.81), 15th in points per set (5.09) and 25th in attacks per set (11.78). Junior Claire Felix is 37th in hitting percentage (.383), while junior Jennie Frager is 37th in bps (1.29).

BRUINS IN THE PAC-12 RANKINGS
UCLA comes into this week's action ranked second among conference teams in assists per set (13.55) and kills per set (14.40), third in digs per set (16.21), fourth in hitting percentage (.243) and fifth in opponent hitting percentage (.172) and service aces per set (1.12). Junior Jordan Anderson is second in kps (4.81) and points per set (5.09), while redshirt sophomore Ryann Chandler (10.00) and freshman Zana Muno (9.57) are fourth and eighth, respectively, in assists per set. Junior Claire Felix is fourth in hitting (.383), junior Taylor Formico is fourth in dps (4.27) and junior Jennie Frager is eighth in blocks per set (1.29). In Pac-12-only matches, Anderson is second in kps (4.91) and third in pps (5.06), Chandler is second in aps (11.52), Formico ranks third in dps (4.65) and Frager is third in hitting (.389).

NEWS AND NOTES
UCLA is 13-0 in matches away from Westwood this season (9-0 on the road, 4-0 at neutral sites) ... the Bruins posted season bests in hitting percentage in back-to-back contests against Colorado (.343) on Oct. 11 and Arizona (.373) on Oct. 16 and have won 61 straight matches when hitting .300 or better. UCLA has surpassed the .300 mark five times this season (Iowa-.305-Sept. 5, UC Irvine-.317-Sept. 18 and California-.337-Sept. 27) ... over the last two seasons, the Bruins are 37-0 (16-0 this year) when leading the hitting percentage battle ... UCLA has held its opponents at a .202 hitting percentage or lower in 15 of its 17 victories ... junior Jordan Anderson posted a season-best 25 kills at #25 Oregon last Friday, the sixth time this season she has recorded at least 20 kills. Anderson, who has double figures in kills in nine straight matches and leads the team with 19 double-figure kills contests, surpassed the 1,000-kill mark on Sept. 13 at UC Santa Barbara and has 1,211 for her career ... sophomore Reily Buechler tied a career best with 21 kills last Sunday at Oregon State, adding a double-double two days earlier at Oregon with 11 kills and 12 digs. Buechler, who has 13 double-figure kills matches this season, posted her first career match with zero hitting errors against Arizona on Oct. 16 when she had 16 kills in 31 attempts for a .516 percentage ... redshirt junior Haley Lawless has at least four kills in 14 of her last 15 matches. She posted nine at Oregon State to go with four blocks ... senior Karly Drolson set a season best with 14 digs at Oregon State and also had two aces to equal a season high. Drolson has at least six digs in six consecutive matches ... junior Claire Felix has at least one block solo in seven of her last eight matches, including a career-high three against Arizona State on Oct. 18, and has at least five blocks in six matches. Offensively, Felix, who has posted at least four kills and one or no errors in 10 contests, did not commit a hitting error in three straight matches (Oct. 11, 16, 18) with 21 kills in 38 attempts (.553) ... freshman Zana Muno leads the team in double-doubles with seven, producing a pair last weekend. She had 48 assists and 11 digs at Oregon and 52 assists and 24 digs at Oregon State, adding three kills and an ace in each contest ... junior Jennie Frager had eight blocks in each of last weekend's matches in the Beaver State, giving her nine matches this season with at least five roofs. Offensively, Frager has double figures in kills in two of her last three, posting 10 at OSU and setting career bests with 12 kills and a .706 hitting percentage versus ASU ... junior Taylor Formico set back-to-back, season bests in digs last weekend, tallying 26 at Oregon and 32 at Oregon State. Formico has 17 double-figure digs matches, including nine in a row, and also has 15 service aces, which is tops on the team ... senior Rachel Inouye recorded her sixth double-figure digs match of the season last Sunday with 11 at Oregon State. She has at least four digs in all but one contest and also added two aces at OSU ... prior to getting injured during the first set at Oregon, redshirt sophomore Ryann Chandler started six straight matches from Oct. 2-18, averaging 12.84 assists and 2.58 digs per set during that stretch. Chandler, who is day-to-day, posted her third double-double of the season with 43 assists and a season-best 14 digs against ASU.

SCOUTING THE WASHINGTON STATE COUGARS
Washington State (14-8, 3-7) has dropped three straight matches to Oregon, Stanford and California. The Cougars are averaging 12.41 kills, 1.54 aces, 13.77 digs and 3.00 blocks per set, hitting .188 as a team. Junior Kyra Holt leads the squad with 4.00 kps and is second with 23 aces and 2.44 dps, but missed the last two matches with an injury. Freshman McKenna Woodford ranks second with 3.19 kps. Junior Haley MacDonald quarterbacks the offense and is posting 10.11 assists per set. Senior Kate Sommer is tops in dps at 4.43, while freshmen Claire Martin (1.32) and Taylor Mims (1.15) are each averaging over a block per set.

SERIES HISTORY: BRUINS VS. COUGARS
UCLA won its 25th straight match against Washington State on Oct. 4, sweeping the Cougars 25-20, 25-18, 30-28 at the John Wooden Center. Jordan Anderson paced the bruins with 21 kills, Taylor Formico added 13 digs and Ryann Chandler posted 39 assists. The Bruins lead the all-time series 52-7 and are 24-5 in Pullman. Washington State's last victory against UCLA was a five-set win at home on Oct. 25, 2002.

SCOUTING THE WASHINGTON HUSKIES
Washington (18-2, 8-2 Pac-12), which hosts USC on Friday, is 10-0 at home this season. The Huskies, who beat Cal, but lost to Stanford on the road last weekend, are averaging 14.19 kills, 1.43 aces, 14.09 digs and 3.13 blocks per set, hitting .321 as a team. Four players are averaging over 2.00 kps, led by sophomore Courtney Schwan's 3.00. Senior Lianna Sybeldon is second (2.58), followed by sophomore Tia Scambray (2.53) and freshman Destiny Julye (2.37). Senior Katy Beals (6.12 assists per set) and sophomore Bailey Tanner (5.50) split the setting duties. Senior Cassie Strickland is tops on the squad with 3.98 dps, while senior Melanie Wade (1.51), Sybeldon (1.36) and sophomore Crissy Jones (1.03) are each averaging over a block per set.

SERIES HISTORY: BRUINS VS. HUSKIES
Washington extended its winning streak over UCLA to five with a sweep at Pauley Pavilion on Oct. 2 (31-29, 25-16, 25-15). Jordan Anderson led the Bruins with 13 kills, Ryann Chandler had a double-double (29 assists, 11 digs) and Taylor Formico posted 12 digs. The Bruins lead the all-time series 43-25 and are 19-17 in Seattle. UCLA hasn't won at Washington since 2003, a span of 12 matches.
