LOS ANGELES - Redshirt sophomore Jessyka Ngauamo posted another career high in kills with 19, while freshman Zana Muno notched her fifth double-double in a row with 42 assists and 14 digs, as the ninth-ranked Bruins swept Colorado on Wednesday at Pauley Pavilion. Set scores were 25-23, 26-24, 25-17.

The Bruins improved to 19-4 overall and 10-3 in Pac-12 play, while the Buffaloes fell to 14-11 and 6-7 in league action.

Junior Claire Felix recorded another match with no hitting errors, posting nine kills in 15 attempts for a .600 percentage. Junior Jordan Anderson added 10 kills, while redshirt junior Haley Lawless had six. Defensively, senior Karly Drolson and junior Taylor Formico each had 13 digs, while senior Rachel Inouye posted six with four service aces. The Bruins hit .307 for the match and had a season-best eight aces.

Colorado led throughout most of the opening set, but UCLA came back late to take the first. The Buffaloes held early leads of 5-1 and 10-6, with their biggest advantage being four. At 15-12 CU, a 4-1 UCLA run on kills by Ngauamo and Felix and two Buffalo attack errors evened the score at 16. Things would remain tied at 17, 18, 19, 20 and 22.

At 22-all, back-to-back Ngauamo kills gave the Bruins a pair of set points, and on their second try, a Colorado attack error wrapped up a 25-23 victory. Ngauamo had eight kills in the opener and didn't commit an error in 15 attempts. Felix added four kills and no errors in seven swings, junior Jennie Frager was 3-for-4 and Anderson had three kills. Muno nearly had a double-double in the first set with 17 assists and eight digs. Drolson added eight digs and Formico posted six. The Bruins out-hit the Buffaloes .400 to .306.

The second set saw the Bruins save a Colorado set point and come back to go up 2-0 in the match. The Bruins, who had five aces in the second, held an early 11-5 lead thanks to winners by freshman Kyra Rogers, Inouye and Felix. The Buffaloes came back to even the score at 15 and then re-took the lead at 19-18. With CU up 22-20, back-to-back Ngauamo kills evened the score at 22.

Colorado scored two of the next three to earn a set point, but three in a row for UCLA on a Felix kill, a Felix/Muno block and an Inouye ace gave the Bruins another comeback win at 26-24. Ngauamo led the Bruins again with four kills, while Anderson added three, as the Bruins were out-hit .353 to .176. Inouye and Muno both had four digs.

The Buffaloes had early leads of 4-1 and 5-3 in the third before a 7-1 UCLA run gave the home team a 10-6 lead. Anderson had three kills and a block with Frager, while Ngauamo and Felix also had kills during the run. The Bruins never trailed for the rest of the set. Colorado closed to within one at 10-9, but a 6-1 UCLA run on kills by Anderson and Lawless, a Frager/Lawless block, a Drolson ace and two CU errors made it 16-10.

Colorado got the next three, but four straight kills by Ngauamo raised the lead back up to seven at 20-13. At 21-16, kills by Ngauamo and Felix and an Inouye ace gave the Bruins eight match points, and on attempt number two, Felix wrapped up the 25-17 victory with a kill. Ngauamo had seven kills in the third, Anderson was 4-for-8 with no errors, Lawless also had four kills and Felix posted three. Drolson had five digs and Formico notched four, as the Bruins out-hit the Buffaloes .325 to .194.

The Bruins continue their homestand on Friday against Utah at Pauley Pavilion at 7 p.m. The match will have free video and audio streams on UCLABruins.com.
